The Comfort That GOD Offers

Isaiah 40:1

COMFORT, COMFORT My people, says your God.

Isaiah 49:13

Sing for joy, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion upon His afflicted.

Isaiah 52:9

Break forth joyously, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem!

Where is the comfort?

     Comfort comes from the LORD.

Where are the people?

     Hiding from the LORD.

Why are they hiding?

     Because they do not know,

They do not understand,

     That the entire purpose of the heart of GOD

Is to COMFORT His people.

He came.

     He walked among us.

He has called us unto Himself.

     He gave His life.

This day His heart is crying out,

     An offering and an invitation,

To each and every heart to come.

For the desire of the LORD is to,

     COMFORT His people.

He must first convict,

     Us in our hearts,

So that in the seeing and the turning,

     We can receive His COMFORT.

The COMFORT that the LORD brings is not  

       Meant/intended necessarily,

To make one one comfortable.

     It may in fact, at first,

Make one very uncomfortable.

But the COMFORT He offers is real comfort,

Heart change and restoration.
