When the forces of darkness
assault you, And
the battle is fierce and strong, When
all seems bleak and dim, And
you have forgotten to come,
STOP! Take a a deep breath, Breathe
deeply of My Love. Remember
I am with you. Beloved, there is no power of
darkness, No
storm of life, That
can snatch you from My hand. You are eternally held in the palm
of My hand. I
AM eternally with you. So, when the storms of life come, Remember
there will also be, Even
within the storm itself, Times
of respite, A resting place for your heart. Come to Me. Stop
for a moment resisting the storm, And
simply come to ME. Center
yourself in ME. Remember who I am, And
whose you are. Find that place in ME, Which
is like being in the eye of the hurricane. That
place of stillness and quiet, That
respite for your heart place,
The place of perfect peace in ME. Yes, the storm will still rage. But
you will be safe in the center of it all. Your
heart will be untouched. Beloved, the enemy does not want
you to remember, That
in every storm of life, There
is a place of refuge in ME. At times I will pull you out of
the storm. At
times I will hide you in a cave. At
times I will calm the storm. But there are those times, When
what is needed is for you, To
simply remember to come, Place
your total trust and your total self, In ME. The storm will still rage at those
times. But
you will be safe in the center of who I am. You
will find a place of rest. Just as there is rest in the eye
of the natural storm. 9-19-08 It is like I can see that it is
possible to stand with Jesus in the place of Òsafe in HIMÓ while the storm
rages all around. I have been in a
hurricane, when the eye passes over.
One second there was this huge raging storm, rain thunder lightening
wind the sound is almost deafening and then suddenly it is quiet, birds began
to sing, the sun was shining, all was still and quiet. It was amazing. We knew it was only a respite time,
that the rest of the storm was coming, but for now this absolute calm quiet
peace. I am remembering that
hurricane. It was so exciting, we
stood in the carport watching the storm, as a child I thought it was just so
neat, so much fun even. I never
felt unsafe, I was home with my daddy. Abba is showing me that we can come to
a place of such total trust in him that no matter what the enemy throws at us
we are safe in him. The essence of
who we are is safe in HIM. We can
stand still in HIM and yes, we are aware of the storm surrounding us but when
our heart is Òat restÓ in him and we know that no matter what, he is with us,
we can, well he says enjoy life even in the center of those storms. God is showing me a picture of a
lady, with a long flowing dress, very beautiful. She is dancing in sheer
abandon. Her arms are raised in
worship and her face is turned to heaven and she is full of joy and hope and
love, deliginting in the moment and yet, all around her except for the spot where she is, violent storms are raging. I wish I was an artist and could draw
what I see. It is the picture of
Òsafe in HIMÓ Òeyes and heart turned to HIMÓ Òdelighting in HIMÓ from the
center of the storms of life. Psalm 57:1 [ To the Chief Musician; [set to the tune of] "Do Not
Destroy." A record of memorable thoughts of David when
he fled from Saul in the cave. ] BE MERCIFUL and gracious to me, O God,
be merciful and gracious to me, for my
soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You; yes, in the shadow
of Your wings will I take refuge and be confident until calamities and
destructive storms are passed. Isaiah 4:6 And there shall be a pavilion for
shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge and a shelter from storm and from rain. Isaiah 4:6 And there shall be a pavilion for
shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge and a shelter from storm and from rain. Isaiah 32:2 And each one of them shall be like
a hiding place from the wind and a shelter from the storm, like streams of
water in a dry place, like the shade of a great rock in a weary land [to those
who turn to them]. Isaiah 54:10-14, 17 10 For though the mountains should depart and
the hills be shaken or removed, yet My
love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and
completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you. O you afflicted [city],
storm-tossed and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in fair colors
[in antimony to enhance their brilliance] and lay your foundations with
sapphires. 12And I will make your windows and pinnacles of
[sparkling] agates or rubies, and your gates of [shining] carbuncles, and all
your walls [of your enclosures] of precious stones. 13And all your [spiritual]
children shall be disciples [taught by the Lord and obedient to His will], and
great shall be the peace and undisturbed composure of your children. 14You shall establish yourself in
righteousness (rightness, in conformity with God's will and order): you shall
be far from even the thought of oppression or destruction, for you shall not
fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you. 17But no weapon that is formed
against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in
judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the
heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the
Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication
which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord. |
