We are to remember what we know as
they did in times of old. As HE instructed them TO DO, we
are to build altars of remembrance. They were told to build altars so
they could/would remember what the LORD had done at that place. So also are we to have
"altars" of rememberance. Except ours are deep within our
hearts. We are to remember what he has
done FOR us. We are to remember what he had
already brought us THROUGH. Then when "things" seem
to come against us, or when things are coming against us, we can remember what
HE has done in the past. We can rest in the assurance that
not only is He with us, ALL that He does, even ALL that He allows is for our GOOD ALL is done or allowed from within
the parameters of his LOVE for us. 10-12-08 Exodus 20:24 ÒBuild for me an altar made of
earth, and offer your sacrifices to me—your burnt offerings and peace
offerings, your sheep and goats, and your cattle. Build my altar wherever I
cause my name to be remembered, and I will come to you and bless you. This took place in Ex 20 just
after he gave them the ten commandments. From what I
have read, I understand that GOD told them to build altars of remembrance to
the great things he, had done for them. We are to offer to him our
sacrifice, and what is that? Psalm 51:17 The sacrifice you desire is a
broken spirit.You will not
reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. Hebrews 13:15 Therefore, let us offer through
Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his
name. fill the spaces with your love. |
